Exhibit in the aula of the City hall Zagreb now opened! (HR/EN)

The 13th International Zagreb fair of Car caricature with the theme Gas stations is officially opened and the best art works have been rewarded. The exhibit is open for public until 28th of February, closing time 15:30h, at the Aula of the City hall Zagreb (Trg Stjepana Radića 1).

"Life without cars is equally difficult to imagine as life without humor. Considering this fact he Fair of car caricature is an unmatched culture event for all car and art lovers. The amount of art submitted shows that this theme is more than actual. 252 artists from 55 countries have contributed 420 artworks. The theme of this year's event has attracted many artists from all over the world who used creativity and whit to describe some of the everyday situations. Many will find themselves in the art describing everyday situations from gas stations, and it is usually easier to correlate through the means of humor and a well placed irony. Although some of the artwork will make you think, most will make you feel better and some will bring you to tears of joy.", Tena Starčević explained the 13th International Zagreb fair of caricature with the theme Gas stations.
 

During the opening ceremony of the 13th International Zagreb fair the following awards have been announced :

Stefaan Provijjn (Belgium) 1. PRIZE- 1.000 eur
Javad Takjoo (Iran) 2. PRIZE- 800 eur
Damir Novak (Croatia) 3.PRIZE - 500 eur
Dragutin Dado Kovacević (Croatia) 1. Special acknowledgment - 150eur
Konstantin Kozanchev (Ukraina) 2.Special acknowledgment-150eur

Grand prix of the 13th International Zagreb fair of Car caricature has been presented by the Major of the City of Zagreb Mr Milan Bandić and the other awards have been presented the jury and collected by the ambassadors of the rewarded artists, namely minister adviser to the Embassy of Indonesia Mrs Elbanite Lingkansurya Ruru for Mr Edi Dharma (Grand Prix), the Ambassador of Belgium, His Excellency Mr Nicholaas Buyck for Stefaan Provijjn (1 Prize), the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency Mr Parviz Esmaeili for Mr Javad Takjoo (2. Prize) while the representative of the Embassy of Ukraine was the secretary of the friendship societies of the Republic of Croatia Mr Andrija Karafilipović for Mr Konstantin Kozanchev (2. Special acknowledgment). Artists from Croatia Mr Damir Novak (3. Prize) and Mr Dragutin Dado Kovacevic, (1. Special acknowledgement) received their awards in person.

The exhibit can be seen in the aula of the City hall Zagreb until the 28th of February 2020 every working day from 07:30 to 15:30.
